John Harding is a Founding Partner at Clifton Global, conducting senior executive search assignments across Quantitative Research, Data Science, Risk Management, Portfolio Construction and Portfolio Management. Previously a Partner at Stonehaven and Head of the firm’s Functions/Infrastructure Practice; with a particular focus on Quantitative Research, Data Science and Risk Management. Prior to this led the UK Risk practice for Heidrick & Struggles - executed assignments identifying Senior Risk professionals, Senior Quants, General Counsel, Legal Directors, Company Secretaries and Heads of Compliance. Completed searches globally across the Hedge Fund, Asset Management, Investment Banking/Capital Markets, Private Equity, Insurance & Corporate/ Retail Banking sectors and has also operated in the wider Corporate Sector. Initial experience in executive search was gained within Heidrick & Struggles’ Education / Not for Profit Practice, advised Boards, CEOs and senior management teams to execute strategic appointments for world-class universities, government departments, charities and other public sector bodies. Prior to this worked at the House of Commons as Researcher and Aide to Rt Hon Virginia Bottomley MP.

Education: MSc in Political Economy & Sociology from Bristol University.
